Before you ride
Rocker feet are an aftermarket accessory, not made, approved or endorsed by Wahoo, Zwift, Elite, Wattbike, JetBlack, Decathlon or Peloton. They add side-to-side movement your trainer wasn’t originally designed for, and fitting third-party accessories may affect your manufacturer’s warranty.
We’re not responsible for wear or damage to your bike, trainer or floor caused by incorrect fitting, modification, or use outside this guide, or for any effect on your manufacturer’s warranty. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
TroubleshootingIf it feels off.
Rock, noise, wobble: most fixes take a minute and cost nothing. Start with the ball.
-
Try a firmer tennis ball. Firmer balls give less movement, softer ones give more. Make sure every foot has the same type of ball, and that each ball is sitting properly in its foot.
It also settles. Ride easy for the first ten minutes before you judge it.
-
Go the other way: a softer ball gives more movement. Check that the feet are fitted fully home, and that the trainer is not resting on anything else, like the edge of a mat or a rug.
-
Stop and check the basics. Flat floor? Every foot fitted and every ball in place? Same ball under each foot? Rock it by hand: if it wobbles in a way that does not feel like a smooth side-to-side, take the weight off and recheck the fit before riding.
Still unhappy? Email us a photo and we will take a look.
-
Most noises come from something that is not fully seated or snug. Recheck the feet are fully home and the bolts are done up with your allen key. Dirt or grit between a ball and its foot can also talk: wipe both down.
-
Tennis balls on a hard floor can slide or mark some surfaces. A mat under the whole setup is the simple answer, and it makes the trainer easier to keep still. Use one you already own or a trainer mat.
-
Yes. Keep your original feet and bolts when you take them off, and the job reverses: take the rocker feet off with the allen key and refit the originals.
